A floating sauna open to the public

Skyport Lodge |Grand Marais, Minnesota

Floating Sauna Reservations for the 2024 season are now closed. Please check back in May of 2025 for our next summer on the water!

The Sisu + Löyly floating sauna is a public sauna. We are thrilled to be dock at Skyport Lodge on Devil Track Lake during the summer and first half of fall. Enjoy a 50 minute session with up to 5 additional guests and take in the gorgeous shoreline views and the sway of the boat on the water while you sauna. Hop in the lake to cool down and enjoy the waterfront seating areas before heading up to the Raven Rock Bar & Grill for refreshments.

Advanced reservations are required. The flat session rate covers up to 6 guests per session and smaller groups or solo session are also welcome. If there are more than 6 guests in your party you can book back-to-back sessions if availability allows and / or you can also reserve the land based sauna at Skyport. The floating sauna is permanently docked (no sailing) per insurance and state regulations.

We are proud to be the first floating sauna in the United States that opened to the public with our launch in September of 2023. Floating saunas are not a new concept. Floating saunas are very common to see along the fjords and urban harbors of Nordic countries. There are 5+ other public floating projects in the works in America right now as well as personal use floating saunas dotting the lakes. We are in good company!

In the Land of 10,000 Lakes, the possibilities of where to dock or anchor a floating sauna are endless. In our biased opinion, Cook County has the most beautiful lakes in the state of Minnesota!
